esempio: @author Stan Lee
esempio: @artist John Romita
Jr.
@cover copertinista: cerca solo articoli di questo
copertinista. Per esempio: @cover Alex
Ross
@artista, @editore, @titolo (mentre @cover rimane uguale!)
grammaticalmente simili (Man/Men ad esempio).
articoli presentanti negli ultimi 30 / 90 giorni mentre @mese a quelli
presentati nel mese in corso e @YEAR all'ultimo anno (inteso come "gli
ultimi 365 giorni).
codice a barre.
Reed Crandall was one of the greatest comic artists of the Golden Age. His work graced the covers and pages of National Comics (drawing the iconic Uncle Sam, as well as Blackhawk, Doll Man and many others). Legendary for his remarkable talents as a draftsman, he was the quintessential 'Artist's Artist.' This Artist's Edition focuses on Crandall's remarkable EC Comics stories, including many that are outright classics. And like all the award-winning Artist's Editions, this book was scanned entirely from the original art-if you are a fan of Crandall's work, there IS NO better way to view it! EC Comics, under the guidance of publisher Bill Gaines, was-according to the editor of this collection-the greatest line of comics ever done. This once-in-a-lifetime Artist's Edition collects more than 120 EC covers by their best and brightest talents. The luminaries included in this gigantic (15 x 22 inches!) tome include: Wally Wood, Harvey Kurtzman. Graham Ingels, Johnny Craig, Al Williamson, Frank Frazetta, Jack Davis, Al Feldstein, and more. To make a baseball analogy, this is a Murderers Row every bit as noteworthy as the '27 Yankees! To date, IDW Publishing's Artist's Edition series has won SIX Eisner Awards! Each cover has been shot from the original art. While appearing to be in black and white, these images were actually scanned in color, enabling the reader to see all the subtle little nuances that make original art unique. Blue pencil notations, zip-a-tone, whiteout, all of these and more are clearly visible. Honestly, the only better way to see these covers is to be holding the original art in your hand (immagine) Categoria: Books: novel/sci fi/horror

Synopsis: QUALITY COMICS - BLACK CONDOR - CRACK COMICS #12 - #21 April 1941 - February 1942 THE RAY - SMASH COMICS #23 - #30 June 1941 - January 1942 Lou Fine was one of the most impressive and influential artists to ever work in comics. His fluid figures were admired and copied by such greats as Joe Simon and Jack Kirby. In the early 40's, the heyday of the Golden Age, he worked for Everett M. 'Busy' Arnold at Quality Comics along with such greats as Reed Crandall, Jack Cole and Will Eisner and in addition to his impressive covers, he worked on such comics as the Black Condor; aka Richard Grey Jr. having lost his parents was raised by giant black condors and after studying his condor foster parents, he learned to fly. He befriended a hermit monk named Father Pierre who convinced him that he should use his unique attributes to do good and so was born the Black Condor. Lou Fine also created The Ray, a reporter named Hubert 'Happy' Terrill who was covering the story of a high-flying 'strato-balloon' exploring the upper atmosphere. An electrical storm struck and while closing the outer airlock door, 'Happy' got the full brunt of the storm's energy and the unfiltered sunlight giving him his super powers to absorb energy from his surroundings and emit it from his body in any form he chose, also using it to propel himself through the air.
