Alchemy and transmutations are coming to the ARTFXJ Statue lineup (a bold expansion designed 'to bring Japanese characters to their fans worldwide') with the new addition of Fullmetal Alchemist and its anime retelling. Coming from an alternate world of scientific magic and strange creatures is one of the most popular characters from the series as he appears in the Brotherhood manga adaptation, ROY MUSTANG! A State Alchemist of Amestris known as the 'Flame Alchemist' for his fondness for fire-based effects, Roy was a staunch supporter of his military and government until he discovered the corruption at its highest levels. Now he has been transmuted into the real world looking like he stepped right out of the anime series! Mustang leans against a low, broken wall, surrounded by fire and ready to summon more. Roy wears his highly detailed State Alchemist uniform complete with black boots and blue and gray matching trousers and long jacket; as an officer he is decorated with rank and other insignia on his chest, collar, and shoulders. Kotobukiya has introduced the latest installments in their stylish Devil May Cry series as Dante and Nero are joining their line of ARTFX J 1/8-scale statues. Dante appears as if he has jumped straight from the game, holding his signature blade Rebellion at the ready, an aloof expression on his face. Each detail of the character's appearance has been carefully recreated, from the leather texture on his coat and trousers to the metal buttons and fasteners on his costume. Rebellion is also faithfully recreated down to the intricate details of the skeleton on the hilt, which has a different design on the top and bottom; just one example of why this piece cannot be fully appreciated from one single angle. In this world alien creatures called 'dragons' have taken over the Earth and it's up to heroes from a variety of different classes to fight them and save humanity. The first Ani*Statue from the franchise is the cute and mysterious FORTUNER from the final sequel 7th Dragon III Code: VFD (coming to North America in summer, 2016)! Called the 'astrologer of the battlefield,' the Fortuner uses scythes and the forces of death in the fight against the dragons. This version of the character utilizes the Atlantis style from 12,000 years ago and the standard color scheme in the game's complex character creation matrix. Fortuner stalks her prey carefully, bent over at the waist with her hands outstretched behind her and one leg crossed in front of the other. She never takes her green eyes off of her enemy, staring it down with a penetrating gaze and a determined expression. The girl wears a complex outfit with a short frilly dress and multiple capes and sashes layered over it, all in the beautiful blue, purple, and white color scheme with black, white, and gray accents. Of particular note is the twisting and flowing motion of Fortuner's clothing as well as the sculpting detail calling out the different materials in it, and of course the adorable cat ears with fur that sit atop her head. Sculpted by Shou Kojima, the Atlantean Fortuner is just over 9 inches tall (1/7 scale) in her bent over pose as she stands on a unique display base emblazoned with a symbol from the game.
