This line is presented as tributes to the great masters of horror fiction, depicting the visceral fear created the greatest writers of the genre. Ghastly Graves will be a continuing collection of horrific statues, as we start things off with our premier edition, Shelley's Creation. This figure gives life to the vision of terror created by Mary Shelley, in her 1818 novel, Frankenstein. Stitches pattern his second-hand flesh as this brutal beast walks among the dead, lumbering through a graveyard in search of unknowns. Every Ghastly Graves edition includes hyper detailed sculpting, nauseating colors, and a gravestone tribute to the author, including an epitaph quoting directly from the book and etched forever into statue. One of the most popular characters from that series is now the first in Kotobukiya's new series of bishoujo figures that celebrate the classic character types in Japanese manga and anime, the 'Legend Girls.' KAHO is the definition of the 'imouto-kei' or sister type, an archetype seen in many Japanese stories. Clumsy and cheerful, the pretty cheerleader is known for addressing her brother as 'Onii-chama.' Originally released as a garage kit in 2003, the legendary character is back and better than ever with coloring true to the anime series. A hero in his homeland of Brazil and Japan where he competed in some of his most famous races, Senna's career included 41 victories, 65 pole positions, and three world championships. His legacy of philanthropy rivals that of his racing; only after his death behind the wheel during the 1994 San Marino Grand Prix was it discovered that he had donated millions of dollars from his personal fortune to children's charities. Appearing as he did after winning the Brazil GP 1991, Senna stands triumphant with his right hand holding his trophy up in the air.
