esempio: @author Stan Lee
esempio: @artist John Romita
Jr.
@cover copertinista: cerca solo articoli di questo
copertinista. Per esempio: @cover Alex
Ross
@artista, @editore, @titolo (mentre @cover rimane uguale!)
grammaticalmente simili (Man/Men ad esempio).
articoli presentanti negli ultimi 30 / 90 giorni mentre @mese a quelli
presentati nel mese in corso e @YEAR all'ultimo anno (inteso come "gli
ultimi 365 giorni).
codice a barre.

Multiple Eisner Award-winner Frank Miller broke into the comics business during the late 1970s, landing a choice assignment on the series Daredevil. His work quickly made the title one of Marvel’s best-selling series, as well as establishing Miller as a fan-favorite superstar. During his tenure on Daredevil, he introduced the assassin Elektra, who became a major Marvel character in her own right. After completing his initial run, Miller returned to Daredevil as writer of the acclaimed “Born Again” run with artist David Mazzucchelli; he then collaborated with John Romita Jr. for the Daredevil: Man Without Fear limited series. Miller has also had monumental success with his work on other iconic characters. In 1986, he made a splash at DC with the wildly popular and hugely influential Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, which told the tale of an older Batman still fighting crime decades after his prime. The following year, Miller reteamed with David Mazzucchelli for Batman: Year One, putting a modern spin on Batman’s classic origin story. Miller writes All Star Batman & Robin with artist Jim Lee, continuing to put his distinctive mark on the Dark Knight. Miller has parlayed his talents as a comic-book creator to major success in Hollywood. In 2005, Miller collaborated with Robert Rodriquez to co-direct Sin City, a film that was widely praised by both fans and critics. Two years later, Miller’s 300 met with similar success, breaking multiple box-office records. Miller wrote and directed The Spirit, based on Will Eisner’s classic hero.Multiple Eisner Award-winner Frank Miller broke into the comics business during the late 1970s, landing a choice assignment on the series Daredevil. Mike Carey is a British writer whose work spans comics, novels, radio, film and TV. His comic work for Marvel includes long runs on X-Men Legacy and Ultimate Fantastic Four, as well as the Spellbinders and Sigil miniseries. Having written five Felix Castor novels and (as Adam Blake) two mainstream thrillers, his most recent book is the post-apocalyptic coming-of-age story The Girl with all the Gifts. His feature-film and TV-series work includes a movie adaptation of Jonathan Trigell's novel Genus.Mark Millar is the New York Times best-selling writer of Wanted, the Kick-Ass series, The Secret Service, Jupiter’s Legacy, Nemesis, Superior, Supercrooks, American Jesus, MPH and Starlight. Wanted, Kick-Ass, Kick-Ass 2 and The Secret Service (as Kingsman: The Secret Service) have been adapted into feature films. His DC Comics work includes the seminal Superman: Red Son. At Marvel Comics, he has written The Ultimates, selected by Time magazine as the comic book of the decade; the acclaimed Wolverine saga “Old Man Logan;” and Civil War, the industry’s biggest-selling series in almost two decades. Millar has served as producer and executive producer on previous adaptations of his works and, following the purchase of his Millarworld comic line by Netflix in 2017, remains the company’s president. For his services to film and literature, he received the prestigious honor of being made a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) by the Queen in 2013.Artist Jae Lee made a name for himself on Marvel’s Namor the Sub-Mariner, his gothic style a stark departure from traditional comic art. After a short X-Factor arc, Lee decamped to the newly formed Image Comics — illustrating the Youngblood Strikefile and WildC.A.T.s Trilogy miniseries, and introducing his own creation in Hellshock. In 1998, he won an Eisner Award for his distinctive work with writer Paul Jenkins on the Marvel Knights series Inhumans. He and Jenkins reteamed in 2000 for Sentry, the multilayered tale of a deliberately forgotten Silver Age hero. Continuing his Marvel Knights work, Lee illustrated Grant Morrison’s Fantastic Four: 1234, an arc of Captain America and the Hulk/Thing: Hard Knocks limited series. After drawing an arc of Ultimate Fantastic Four, Lee was tapped to lend his distinctive style to Marvel’s adaptations of Stephen King’s Dark Tower novels.Artist Greg Land first gained notice with his work on DC’s Batman-family titles Nightwing and Birds of Prey. Moving to Marvel after illustrating CrossGen’s Sojourn, he drew Phoenix: Endsong. Next up was a run on Ultimate Fantastic Four that included the first rendering of the Marvel Zombies. Subsequently, Land penciled the blockbuster limited series Ultimate Power before becoming a regular artist on Uncanny X-Men. He subsequently drew a trilogy of Symbiote Spider-Man limited series with writer Peter David.

Peter Milligan was at the forefront of the 1990s “British Invasion,” introducing a revolutionary new breed of comic books for an adult audience. His Eisner Award-nominated DC/Vertigo series Shade the Changing Man offered a satirical look at American culture from the point of view of an alien visitor from another dimension. Enigma cemented Milligan’s reputation for unparalleled weirdness, and Human Target’s sharp deconstruction of the action-movie paradigm demonstrated his versatility. But the critically acclaimed Marvel series X-Force (later X-Statix), with its unique interpretation of the mutant condition, stands as perhaps his most popular work. His other Marvel credits include X-Men, Sub-Mariner: The Depths and 5 Ronin.Mark Millar is the New York Times best-selling writer of Wanted, the Kick-Ass series, The Secret Service, Jupiter’s Legacy, Nemesis, Superior, Supercrooks, American Jesus, MPH and Starlight. For his services to film and literature, he received the prestigious honor of being made a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) by the Queen in 2013.Working in a unique style, Clayton Crain notably came into the public eye with the release of the Garth Ennis-written limited series Ghost Rider: Road to Damnation, followed by Ghost Rider: Trail of Tears. Following a well-received stint on Sensational Spider-Man, Crain helped relaunch X-Force with writers Craig Kyle and Chris Yost, redesigning the team for a new millennium. He has inimitably rendered the sinister, symbiotic foes of Spider-Man to great acclaim in Venom vs. Carnage and Carnage.Artist Terry Dodson broke into Marvel Comics with Storm, a four-issue series with writer Warren Ellis focusing on the longtime X-Man. After a stint on the X-Men teen spinoff series Generation X, Dodson helped writer Karl Kesel launch Harley Quinn for DC Comics, starring the Joker’s deadly female sidekick. Following the completion of writer Mark Millar’s Marvel Knights Spider-Man, Dodson again collaborated with Millar on the EA video game Marvel Nemesis: Rise of the Imperfects. Following runs on Uncanny X-Men and Defenders with writer Matt Fraction, Dodson remains one of the most popular artists in the field, a status he attributes in large part to the contributions of his wife, Rachel, who adds her talented inking to much of Terry’s work.

After co-creating DC’s Swamp Thing in 1972, Len Wein moved to Marvel for lengthy runs on some of the company’s biggest titles — Amazing Spider-Man, Fantastic Four, Incredible Hulk and Thor — and helped bring the landmark Giant-Size X-Men #1 into the world, changing Marvel forever. Returning to DC as an editor, Wein oversaw an influx of British writing talent, highlighted by Alan Moore’s historic Watchmen miniseries. Wein also has worked in television and animation, returning to his roots to develop a Swamp Thing screenplay. He has written comic-book adaptations of The Simpsons and Futurama.Steve Englehart’s history-making contributions to the Marvel Universe began with the Beast’s solo feature in Amazing Adventures, in which the eloquent X-Man first assumed furry form. As Avengers writer, he masterminded such major events as “The Avengers/Defenders War” (in both teams’ titles) and “The Celestial Madonna Saga.” In Captain America, he identified and solved the “mystery” of the 1950s Captain America (later revived by Ed Brubaker), and gave the true Cap the alternate identity of Nomad. Englehart’s Dr. Strange storyline in Marvel Premiere established the character as Sorcerer Supreme and covered the creation of the universe itself. At DC, he helped revamp Batman, Green Lantern, Superman and other major heroes for the 1970s. Back at Marvel, he wrote the first few years of West Coast Avengers and Silver Surfer. His published novels include Countdown to Flight, Hellstorm (part of the TALON Force series), Majorca, The Point Man and, with wife Terry Beach, books in the DNAgers young-adult series. Englehart has also written TV episodes and designed video games.Gerry Conway wrote Daredevil, Incredible Hulk, Iron Man and others. He was instrumental in Marvel’s 1970s horror boom with work on Man-Thing, Tomb of Dracula and Werewolf by Night. His years on Amazing Spider-Man yielded such historic highlights as the groundbreaking death of Gwen Stacy and the debut of the Punisher. He also wrote DC’s Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman and Legion of Super-Heroes. For TV, he has written and produced episodes of Diagnosis: Murder, Hercules: The Legendary Journeys, Huntress and Matlock.Roy Thomas joined the Marvel Bullpen as a writer and editor under Stan Lee, scripting key runs of nearly every title of the time: Amazing Spider-Man, Avengers, Daredevil, Doctor Strange, Sub-Mariner, Thor, X-Men and more. He wrote the first 10 years of Marvel’s Conan the Barbarian and Savage Sword of Conan; and launched such series as Defenders, Iron Fist, Invaders and Warlock. At DC, he developed All-Star Squadron, Infinity Inc. and related titles, proving instrumental in reviving the Golden Age Justice Society of America. Thomas later became editor of Alter Ego, a magazine devoted to comic-book history, and co-scripted the sword-and-sorcery films Fire and Ice and Conan the Destroyer. In the 1970s, Tony Isabella wrote for as eclectic a set of characters as can be imagined — including Black Goliath, Captain America, Champions, Ghost Rider, Astonishing Tales' It the Living Colossus, Luke Cage Hero for Hire and Marvel Chillers' Tigra. At DC, he co-created Black Lightning and collaborated with Richard Howell on Shadow War of Hawkman. He wrote Justice Machine for two separate publishers and has announced his intention to write Heroic Publishing's Tigress. In Comics Buyers Guide, his “Tony’s Tips” column is a regular feature.Industry legend Chris Claremont is best known for his epic sixteen-year run on Uncanny X-Men. Claremont’s focus on the themes of prejudice and tolerance struck at the hearts of comics fans, and he built an unparalleled following during the next three decades. Under his pen, the X-Men franchise spawned a vast array of spin-offs, many of them written by Claremont himself. His other credits include Iron Fist, Ms. Marvel, Power Man and Spider-Woman. Claremont has returned to the X-Men universe in New Exiles, GeNext, X-Men Forever, Chaos War: X-Men and Nightcrawler.Beginning as Stan Lee’s production assistant, Herb Trimpe (1939-2015) went on to pencil a seven-year run on Marvel mainstay Incredible Hulk — during which he debuted the future X-Man, Wolverine — as well as 1970s classics Marvel Team-Up, Shogun Warriors and Godzilla. He was equally prolific during the 1980s on Nick Fury, The ’Nam and G.I. Joe; the 1990s saw him illustrate Marvel’s First Family on Fantastic Four Unlimited. Trimpe’s war-story credits also include the introduction of the Phantom Eagle, the WWI aviator hero whose adventures were later chronicled by Garth Ennis.Roger Stern enjoyed well-regarded runs on Amazing Spider-Man, in which he introduced Captain Marvel (Monica Rambeau) and the Hobgoblin; Avengers; and Captain America. He launched West Coast Avengers and wrote numerous tie-in miniseries starring Earth’s Mightiest Heroes. At DC, he relaunched Atom and co-created Starman (Will Payton) before participating in one of comics’ most shocking events: the 1992 “Death of Superman.” He later returned to Marvel to write Amazing Spider-Man and related titles.Beginning as Stan Lee’s production assistant, Herb Trimpe (1939-2015) went on to pencil a seven-year run on Marvel mainstay Incredible Hulk — during which he debuted the future X-Man, Wolverine — as well as 1970s classics Marvel Team-Up, Shogun Warriors and Godzilla. Famed for his ability to meet tight deadlines, he spread his talents across multiple genres. His 1970s work ranged from Ms. Marvel and Nova to Sub-Mariner and Spider-Woman’s first appearance in Marvel Spotlight. He was the uninterrupted artist on Spectacular Spider-Man for more than a hundred issues and penciled the web-slinger’s adventures in Marvel Team-Up, in which he and writer Bill Mantlo introduced Captain Jean DeWolff. After handling more team-ups in the Thing’s Marvel Two-in-One, he reunited with brother John on Steve Englehart’s Fantastic Four. He later provided inks for Tom DeFalco’s Spider-Girl titles and Thunderstrike miniseries. One of the Golden Age’s earliest talents, George Tuska (1916-2009) created characters for Fiction House, Harvey Comics and Fawcett Comics’ Captain Marvel Adventures, among many others. He helped launch one of the most popular post-war genres in Lev Gleason’s Crime Does Not Pay. He eventually provided multi-genre art for Atlas Comics, to which he returned following its transformation into Marvel. Tuska penciled Ghost Rider, Luke Cage: Power Man and Sub-Mariner, as well as a ten-year Iron Man stint. At DC, he illustrated Challengers of the Unknown and Superman, among others. As a comic-strip artist, Tuska drew Buck Rogers, Scorchy Smith and DC’s World’s Greatest Superheroes. His final industry work was cover art for Masquerade, part of Dynamite’s Golden Age character revival, bringing him full circle.

Dan Slott has built a loyal fan base by combining old-school fun with stories and characterizations friendly to new readers. Following his run on She-Hulk, Slott moved into the upper echelon of Marvel writers, launching Avengers: The Initiative and taking the reins on Mighty Avengers from Brian Michael Bendis. When Marvel gave Spider-Man a fresh start in 2008, Slott was one of several rotating writers on the thrice-monthly Amazing Spider-Man. Slott became the writer most closely identified with the web-slinger’s “Brand New Day” era, and the title hit the “Big Time” when he took over as full-time writer for a decade-long run. Slott has also turned his talents to other iconic Marvel heroes — including soaring the spaceways with Silver Surfer; helming Tony Stark: Iron Man toward Iron Man 2020; and masterminding the glorious return of Fantastic Four, leading to his long-awaited “Reckoning War.” In 2022, Slott made his way back to the Spider-Verse, teaming with legendary penciler Mark Bagley on Spider-Man and introducing the sidekick sensation Spider-Boy. Christos Gage sold his first screenplay in 1997 and has been working steadily ever since; he started writing comics in 2004 with DC’s Deadshot miniseries, featuring the sharpshooting antihero from Suicide Squad. He then began co-writing Avengers: The Initiative with Dan Slott, which led to him becoming the sole writer on the book and its successor, Avengers Academy. After refining his inimitable style on the creator-owned Jade Warriors, he returned to Marvel for a second turn on Incredible Hulk, with writer Bruce Jones, and a stint on J. Michael Straczynski’s Amazing Spider-Man. Deodato has forged an association with the Avengers on various titles — including collaborations with Brian Michael Bendis, Ed Brubaker and Jonathan Hickman — and demonstrated his superstar status on the event book Original Sin.
