Gerry Conway wrote Daredevil, Incredible Hulk, Iron Man and others. He was instrumental in Marvel’s 1970s horror boom with work on Man-Thing, Tomb of Dracula and Werewolf by Night. For TV, he has written and produced episodes of Diagnosis: Murder, Hercules: The Legendary Journeys, Huntress and Matlock.Jim Shooter entered the comic-book field at age 14 as writer and penciler of the “Legion of Super-Heroes” feature in Adventure Comics. Later moving to Marvel, he wrote Daredevil, Ghost Rider, Marvel Team-Up, Marvel Two-in-One and other titles. As editor in chief, he tightened Marvel’s publishing schedule; added new titles; nurtured fresh talent; launched the New Universe; and wrote the 12-issue Secret Wars and its sequel, Secret Wars II. Canadian writer Jed MacKay has built an extensive list of credits at Marvel — including such titles as Edge of Spider-Geddon, Infinity Wars: Ghost Panther, Daughters of the Dragon and Man Without Fear. Moving to DC, Simone had a long, acclaimed run on Birds of Prey, featuring heroines such as Oracle (Barbara Gordon), Black Canary and Huntress. She later wrote some of those characters for TV shows such as Justice League Unlimited and Batman: The Brave and the Bold. Garrón made his Marvel debut with Cyclops in 2014 and enjoyed a string of successes — on titles including Secret Warriors, Star-Lord, Ant-Man and the Wasp, the Secret Wars tie-in Inferno and Miles Morales: Spider-Man — before his extensive collaboration with Jason Aaron on Avengers.Bob Quinn is quickly earning a reputation at Marvel, where his growing list of credits includes Fantastic Four, Ms. Marvel, Uncanny X-Men, Champions and Avengers Halloween Special. His rising profile has seen him illustrate Way of X and Knights of X.Born in Alberta, Marcus To has been drawing since childhood but never dreamed he would be able to do it professionally. In 2009, he made the move to Toronto; that same year, he started working for DC. In 2010, he joined the Royal Academy of Illustration and Design studio in downtown Toronto. To’s Marvel credits include Black Panther, New Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy, X-Men: Blue and New Warriors, but Excalibur is his longest and most acclaimed run.
