esempio: @author Stan Lee
esempio: @artist John Romita
Jr.
@cover copertinista: cerca solo articoli di questo
copertinista. Per esempio: @cover Alex
Ross
@artista, @editore, @titolo (mentre @cover rimane uguale!)
grammaticalmente simili (Man/Men ad esempio).
articoli presentanti negli ultimi 30 / 90 giorni mentre @mese a quelli
presentati nel mese in corso e @YEAR all'ultimo anno (inteso come "gli
ultimi 365 giorni).
codice a barre.

MELODY TO THE RESCUEAh, summer. The perfect time for rest and relaxation. Well, maybe for everyone else, but for Melody, the world’s most perfect maid, rest is a four-letter word. Melody’s determined to keep her lady taken care of—and a good thing too! Because, to Luciana’s dismay, she comes home to find the place in dire straits with wilted crops and a house in disrepair. But with a bit of elbow grease and a few flicks of the wrist, surely there’s no rubble Melody can’t clear, no chaos she can’t bring order to, and no mystery she can’t uncover! by (W) Blutch (CT) Matt Madden
A star of French comics imagines America--its movie stars, its history, its fashion--in these tantalizing graphic short stories about everything from love to, yes, the actor Robert Mitchum.Blutch is one of the most inventive storytellers in comics, and nothing reveals it like Mitchum. Serialized and collected in the mid-90s and never before available in English, this is Blutch at his most wide-ranging: from Puritan fever dreams to an encounter with a shape-shifting Robert Mitchum, Blutch builds stories out of his dreams, visions of America, and anything else he can get his hands on. Drawn in his unmistakable line that veers in a moment from crude to elegant, blotchy to crisp, horrific to serene, these comics show Blutch searching for new artistic frontiers. What he finds is sometimes surprising, occasionally unsettling, and endlessly fascinating.
Blutch (Christian Hincker) is an award-winning, highly influential French cartoonist. He has published almost two dozen books since his 1988 comic debut in the legendary avant-garde magazine Fluide Glacial, including Le Petit Christian, So Long, Silver Screen, and Peplum (available from NYR Comics). His illustrations appear in Les Inrockuptibles, Libération, and The New Yorker.Matt Madden is a translator and cartoonist. He is the author of 99 Ways to Tell a Story: Exercises in Style, which is a comics adaptation of Raymond Queneau's Exercises in Style, and of two textbooks co-written with his wife, Jessica Abel, Drawing Words & Writing Pictures and Mastering Comics. Madden and Abel were series editors of The Best American Comics for six years. He translated Edmond Baudoin's graphic novel Piero for New York Review Books. He lives in Philadelphia.

A surreal vision of a post-alien-invasion Earth where human beings still have to deal with quotidian frustrations, ennui, and understanding their place in the world.Since the mid-1980s, the British cartoonist Chris Reynolds has been assembling a world all his own. On the surface, it seems much like ours: a place of cool afternoon shadows and gently rolling hills, half-empty trains and sleepy downtown streets. But the closer you look, the weirder it gets. After losing a mysterious intergalactic war, Earth is no longer in humanity’s control. Blandly friendly aliens lurk on the margins and seem especially interested in the mining industry. The very rules of time and space seem to have shifted: Mysterious figures suddenly appear in childhood photos, family members disappear forever without warning, power outages abound, and certain people gain the power of flight. A helmeted man named Jimmy is somehow causing local businesses to shutter and is being closely watched by the “trendy new police force,” Rational Control. The world is being remade, but in what image? This new collection, selected and designed by the acclaimed cartoonist Seth, includes short stories, a novella, and the full-length graphic novel Mauretania. It is the ideal guide to all the mystery and wonder of one of the most underappreciated cult classics in the history of comics. This NYRC edition is a hardcover with foil stamping, debossing, full-color endpapers, and extra-thick paper, and features new scans of the original artwork.
Chris Reynolds was born in Wales in 1960 and studied fine art at the North Staffordshire Polytechnic. He has worked as a filmmaker, publicist, and art teacher but now devotes his time to drawing comics. He lives in Poole in the United Kingdom.Seth is the cartoonist behind the comic book series Palookaville, and his comics have appeared in The New York Times Magazine, Best American Comics, and McSweeney’s. His illustrations have appeared in numerous publications, including on the covers of The New Yorker, The Walrus, and Canadian Notes & Queries. He is also Lemony Snicket’s partner for the new young-adult series All the Wrong Questions. Seth lives in Guelph, Ontario, with his wife, Tania, and their two cats in an old house he has named Inkwell’s End.Ed Park is a founding editor of The Believer and a former editor of the Voice Literary Supplement and for the Poetry Foundation. His debut novel, Personal Days, published in 2008, was a finalist for the PEN/Hemingway Award for First Fiction. A sweeping and in-depth history of the Brooklyn music scene over ten years in Bloomberg's New York, from a writer and concert producer who had a front-row view of it all In the tradition of Just Kids and Our Band Could Be Your Life, Ronen Givony’s Us v. Them chronicles the generation of young artists who came to Brooklyn in the mid-2000s: a small but seismic scene that coalesced under a billionaire mayor, a series of forever wars, and a music industry in free fall.In tandem with the impresarios and unlicensed venues that lined the Williamsburg waterfront, combining elements of noise and pop, a few became unlikely superstars. Meanwhile, countless flared and vanished, reminders of an unusually fertile moment—the age of indie—that now means little more than a term of marketing.Through reporting, research, and interviews with musicians, industry insiders, and individuals from Pitchfork, Vice, Scion, and the Red Bull Music Academy, Us v. Them examines the rise and fall of indie music in a post-Napster landscape, marked by vast disruption in technology, politics, economics, journalism, and patronage. At once a social history and an eyewitness account of an improbable decade, Us v. Them gives a critical analysis of what indie music was, is, and will be again in New York City. (immagine) Categoria: Books: novel/sci fi/horror

New edition with bonus material by Dave McKean!Dark Horse proudly presents a new, second edition, of the graphic novel by legendary artist Dave McKean, based on the life of Paul Nash, a surrealist painter during World War 1. The Dreams of Paul Nash deals with real soldier's memoirs and all the stories add up to a moving piece about how war and extreme situations change us, how we deal with that pain, and, in Nash's case, how he responded by turning his landscapes into powerful and fantastical psychoscapes. The second edition of Black Dog: The Dreams of Paul Nash features a new cover by Dave McKean, along with 15 pages of new bonus material examining the creation of the book.

Beginning in 1989 he produced the covers for Gaiman's celebrated series The Sandman, all its collected editions and many of its spin-offs, and the Batman graphic novel, Arkham Asylum: A Serious House on Serious Earth, with writer Grant Morrison (1989).
