esempio: @author Stan Lee
esempio: @artist John Romita
Jr.
@cover copertinista: cerca solo articoli di questo
copertinista. Per esempio: @cover Alex
Ross
@artista, @editore, @titolo (mentre @cover rimane uguale!)
grammaticalmente simili (Man/Men ad esempio).
articoli presentanti negli ultimi 30 / 90 giorni mentre @mese a quelli
presentati nel mese in corso e @YEAR all'ultimo anno (inteso come "gli
ultimi 365 giorni).
codice a barre.

MIKE MIGNOLA’s fascination with ghosts and monsters began at an early age; reading Dracula at age twelve introduced him to Victorian literature and folklore, from which he has never recovered. Starting in 1982 as a bad inker for Marvel Comics, he swiftly evolved into a not-so-bad artist. By the late 1980s, he had begun to develop his own unique graphic style, with mainstream projects like Cosmic Odyssey and Batman: Gotham by Gaslight. In 1994, he published the first Hellboy series through Dark Horse, leading to over two decades of comics spinoffs, prose books, animated films, and live-action films. He worked on Francis Ford Coppola’s film Bram Stoker’s Dracula (1992), Disney’sAtlantis: The Lost Empire (2001), and with director Guillermo del Toro on Blade II (2002), Hellboy (2004), and Hellboy II: The Golden Army (2008). A new film by Neil Marshall was released in 2019. Mike’s books have earned numerous awards and are published in a great many countries. He lives in New York with his wife, daughter, and cat.TOM SNIEGOSKI started out in the comic book industry and has worked for all the big guys . . . Marvel, DC, Image, Dark Horse, Cartoon Books. Some of the characters Tom has written include Batman, The Punisher, Hellboy, Wolverine, Devil Dinosaur, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, and he even wrote the prequel to Jeff Smith’s award winning series Bone, which was called Stupid, Stupid Rat Tails: The Adventures of Big Johnson Bone. His most recent comic book work (written with frequent partner, Christopher Golden) is The Sisterhood, published by Archaia Studios Press. This dynamic duo also worked on the mini-series Talent from Boom Studios, which - guess what, folks! - was optioned by Universal Pictures. He loves comics, but now Tom's primary focus is writing novels. He started with Buffy the Vampire Slayer: The Monster Book with Christopher Golden and Steven Bissette, and then wrote his own novel based on the hit spin-off series Angel called Soul Trade. From then on, Tom has worked non-stop, both alone and with - you guessed it! - Christopher Golden. Some of the projects that the boys have worked on together include the YA novel Storm Warning, the Magic Zero series for the youngsters, and The Menagerie, a series of dark fantasy novels for the grown-ups. All by himself, Tom wrote a series called The Fallen, and these books were actually the basis for the ABC Family Channel mini-series by the same name. Check out the newest volume of The Fallen, Armageddon. His wife thinks his novel A Kiss Before the Apocalypse is the best book he's ever written. Apocalypse is the start to the Remy Chandler series. The latest volume in the line is A Deafening Silence in Heaven. He has also written two new middle grade series - Billy Hooten: Owlboy for Delacorte and The Brimstone Network for Aladdin. His wife hopes these will be optioned too. Also check out his stand-alone novel Legacy, which answers the age-old question: What if you found out your deadbeat father is a superhero? Tom is currently hard at work (ask him to tell you how hard) on some exciting books.CRAIG ROUSSEAU is an American comic book artist. During his career Rousseau has worked for various comic book companies, but is best known for his work on DC Comics titles like Harley Quinn, Batman Beyond and Impulse. He also worked for Disney Adventures (Kim Possible), Beckett (Ruule: Kiss and Tell, Ronin Hood of the 47 Samurai, The Cobbler’s Monster), Image Comics (Tellos: The Last Heist, Tales of Tellos, Invincible Handbook, Monster Pile-up) and Marvel Comics' Creative Services. He has additionally drawn, and co-created with Todd DeZago, The Perhapanauts for Dark Horse and Image Comics (Perhapanauts: First Blood and Perhapanauts: Second Chances). More recently, he has drawn Marvel's Spider-Man Loves Mary Jane.

Dan Slott has built a loyal fan base by combining old-school fun with stories and characterizations friendly to new readers. Following his run on She-Hulk, Slott moved into the upper echelon of Marvel writers, launching Avengers: The Initiative and taking the reins on Mighty Avengers from Brian Michael Bendis. When Marvel gave Spider-Man a fresh start in 2008, Slott was one of several rotating writers on the thrice-monthly Amazing Spider-Man. Slott became the writer most closely identified with the web-slinger’s “Brand New Day†era, and the title hit the “Big Time†when he took over as full-time writer for a decade-long run. Slott has also turned his talents to other iconic Marvel heroes — including soaring the spaceways with Silver Surfer; helming Tony Stark: Iron Man toward Iron Man 2020; and masterminding the glorious return of Fantastic Four, leading to his long-awaited “Reckoning War.†In 2022, Slott made his way back to the Spider-Verse, teaming with legendary penciler Mark Bagley on Spider-Man and introducing the sidekick sensation Spider-Boy. Fred Van Lente has been a comics fan as long as he can remember, initially hooked by his father’s copy of Jules Feiffer’s landmark anthology The Great Comic Book Heroes. Van Lente joined Syracuse University’s comic-book club and met artist Steve Ellis, with whom he created indie super-crime comic The Silencers. That work got noticed by Marvel, where Van Lente was soon hired and introduced a heroic new Scorpion in Amazing Fantasy. His additional Marvel credits include Civil War: Casualties of War, House of M: Avengers, Iron Man, Union Jack and World War Hulk: X-Men, as well as a prominent run on X-Men: Legacy.Beginning his career in animation working on such films as The Iron Giant, Anastasia and Titan A.E., Rick Remender has become a comic-book triple threat — writing, penciling and inking numerous fan-favorite series. Remender served as writer on hit video games Dead Space and Bulletstorm, while providing art for punk/metal bands like NOFX and 3 Inches of Blood. He’s co-created many popular independent titles, including the critically acclaimed Fear Agent with longtime collaborators Tony Moore and Jerome Opeña. His time at Marvel started on Punisher, and has since led to well-received runs on Uncanny X-Force, Venom, Captain America and Uncanny Avengers. Remender made headlines by promoting Sam Wilson, the Falcon, to full-fledged shield-slinger in All-New Captain America.Award-winning British author Dan Abnett has been a New York Times best-seller seven times and won the Best Comic Writer award in 2003. He co-created Death’s Head and Knights of Pendragon for Marvel UK in the 1980s, and contributed extensively to the UK’s illustrious 2000AD. He has also written Iron Man, New Mutants, Doctor Strange and Punisher for Marvel, and worked on some of Marvel’s epic cosmic comics including the Annihilation and War of Kings events, and the Nova and Guardians of the Galaxy series. His distinctively stylized artwork graced runs on Human Torch, Venom, Spider-Man: Legend of the Spider-Clan and a revamp of New Warriors. He also drew the X-Men/Runaways team-up for Free Comic Book Day 2006 and a run of New X-Men. Young won acclaim from fans and critics alike with Marvel’s series of New York Times-best-selling and Eisner Award-winning adaptations of L. Frank Baum’s Oz novels with writer Eric Shanower. His Young Marvel variant covers became a sensation, leading to their own Secret Wars limited series, Giant-Size Little Marvel: AVX. Also a flourishing writer, Young brought his flair for madcap antics delivered in his trademark kinetic style to Marvel’s Rocket Raccoon and Deadpool, as well as acclaimed creator-owned series I Hate Fairyland, Middlewest and The Me You Love In The Dark. He lives in Kansas with his wife, two sons, and two dogs.Nick Spencer broke into the comic-book industry with Existence 2.0, published by Image in 2009 and slated for adaptation into a feature film by Paramount Pictures. He has since worked on a sequel, Existence 3.0, and the ongoing series Morning Glories and Bedlam for Image, as well as T.H.U.N.D.E.R. Agents for DC. For Marvel, he wrote Secret Avengers, Iron Man 2.0 and Ultimate Comics X-Men before relaunching Secret Avengers and launching the villain-centric Superior Foes of Spider-Man for Marvel NOW! Spencer brought the comedic-underdog tone of the latter book to the pages of Ant-Man, and then shocked readers by turning the Sentinel of Liberty against the world in the pages of Captain America: Steve Rogers, Captain America: Sam Wilson and the event series Secret Empire.Antony Johnston is an award-winning, New York Times best-selling author of comics, graphic novels, video games and books, with titles including Wasteland, Daredevil, Dead Space, Julius and Frightening Curves. He has also adapted books by best-selling novelist Anthony Horowitz, collaborated with comics legend Alan Moore and reinvented Marvel’s flagship character Wolverine for manga. His titles have been translated throughout the world and optioned for film. He lives and works in England.Film director and screenwriter Greg Pak’s first feature, the sci-fi anthology Robot Stories, won 35 awards; he broke into the comics industry when his agent sent Marvel the screenplay. After writing a Warlock reboot, Pak made a splash with the X-Men: Phoenix — Endsong limited series and a lengthy run on Incredible Hulk, highlighted by the “Planet Hulk†storyline and the World War Hulk crossover. In addition to the acclaimed Magneto: Testament and Red Skull: Incarnate limited series, a War Machine revival and the retitled Incredible Hulks, Pak has written Dynamite’s Battlestar Galactica and contributed to Secret Identities: The Asian American Superhero Anthology. Ramos brought his kinetic artwork to the pages of Extraordinary X-Men and Champions, as well as a magical collaboration with Skottie Young on Strange Academy.Italian illustrator Stefano Caselli broke into American comics during the early 2000s with work on titles including Marvel’s Mutant X and Thunderbolts. Her major editorial credits include Star Wars and Uncanny X-Men. At DC, she wrote multiple Superman titles and became one of the main creative forces behind the “Death of Superman†saga; her scripts also appeared in Detective Comics, New Titans and more. Her later Marvel work includes the limited series Jean Grey and Power Pack: Into the Storm.Industry legend Chris Claremont is best known for his epic sixteen-year run on Uncanny X-Men. Claremont’s focus on the themes of prejudice and tolerance struck at the hearts of comics fans, and he built an unparalleled following during the next three decades. Under his pen, the X-Men franchise spawned a vast array of spin-offs, many of them written by Claremont himself. His other credits include Iron Fist, Ms. Marvel, Power Man and Spider-Woman. Claremont has returned to the X-Men universe in New Exiles, GeNext, X-Men Forever, Chaos War: X-Men and Nightcrawler.Jon Bogdanove began as the penciler, and eventually became the writer, of Power Pack. He also illustrated the acclaimed Fantastic Four vs. the X-Men miniseries and contributed to several other X-comics before migrating to DC in the early 1990s and beginning a lengthy run on Superman: The Man of Steel. After achieving industry acclaim for DC’s award-winning “Manhunter†feature in Detective Comics, Walter Simonson moved to Marvel where he introduced multiple characters and concepts from both myth and outer space during his revered run scripting and penciling Thor. He collaborated with his wife, Louise, on both X-Factor and Wildstorm’s World of Warcraft, later returning to Marvel to illustrate Brian Michael Bendis’ Avengers.Steve Englehart’s history-making contributions to the Marvel Universe began with the Beast’s solo feature in Amazing Adventures, in which the eloquent X-Man first assumed furry form. As Avengers writer, he masterminded such major events as “The Avengers/Defenders War†(in both teams’ titles) and “The Celestial Madonna Saga.†In Captain America, he identified and solved the “mystery†of the 1950s Captain America (later revived by Ed Brubaker), and gave the true Cap the alternate identity of Nomad. Englehart’s Dr. Strange storyline in Marvel Premiere established the character as Sorcerer Supreme and covered the creation of the universe itself. At DC, he helped revamp Batman, Green Lantern, Superman and other major heroes for the 1970s. Back at Marvel, he wrote the first few years of West Coast Avengers and Silver Surfer. His published novels include Countdown to Flight, Hellstorm (part of the TALON Force series), Majorca, The Point Man and, with wife Terry Beach, books in the DNAgers young-adult series. Englehart has also written TV episodes and designed video games. After beginning his writing career on DC horror titles, David Michelinie moved to Marvel. He and co-writer/inker Bob Layton established Iron Man’s battle with alcoholism, use of specialized armor variants and vendetta against Doctor Doom, as well as other aspects of the character that endure to this day. Michelinie’s unique blend of action, suspense and humor distinguished not only Iron Man, but also Amazing Spider-Man. With artist Todd McFarlane, he introduced the vicious vigilante Venom; he also wrote the first Venom limited series, Lethal Protector. Michelinie’s run as Amazing writer was second in length only to that of Stan Lee himself, while he also authored tie-in titles Spectacular Spider-Man, Web of Spider-Man and Spider-Man. He moved from Marvel’s flagship character to DC’s with a stint on Superman’s Action Comics, later returning to the world of Tony Stark for writing collaborations with Bob Layton on Iron Man: Legacy of Doom and Iron Man: The End.Gerry Conway wrote Daredevil, Incredible Hulk, Iron Man and others. He was instrumental in Marvel’s 1970s horror boom with work on Man-Thing, Tomb of Dracula and Werewolf by Night. He also wrote DC’s Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman and Legion of Super-Heroes. For TV, he has written and produced episodes of Diagnosis: Murder, Hercules: The Legendary Journeys, Huntress and Matlock.Journalist, editor, filmmaker and more, Ann Nocenti has a long history in comics, both as a writer and an editor. As an editor at Marvel, she oversaw such titles as New Mutants and Uncanny X-Men. As a writer, she has worked for both Marvel (Longshot, Spectacular Spider-Man, Wolverine) and DC (Batman, Kid Eternity, Green Arrow, Catwoman), but is probably best known for her groundbreaking run with John Romita Jr. on Daredevil.Terry Austin won Eagle, Inkpot and Comics Buyer’s Guide Fan Awards for ink work on Chris Claremont and John Byrne’s legendary Uncanny X-Men run. After introducing both Cable and Deadpool, he launched an even bigger collaboration as one of the founders of Image Comics with his original property Youngblood. In 1996, he participated in Marvel’s multi-title Heroes Reborn event. Liefeld returned to Marvel fo an X-Force limited series and then revisited Heroes Reborn in Onslaught Reborn. Liefeld returned to his most famous co-creation with the graphic novel Deadpool: Bad Blood, its limited series sequel Deadpool: Badder Blood and the blockbuster Deadpool Team-Up, and introduced a new sensation in Major X.Jon Bogdanove began as the penciler, and eventually became the writer, of Power Pack. He also illustrated the acclaimed Fantastic Four vs. the X-Men miniseries and contributed to several other X-comics before migrating to DC in the early 1990s and beginning a lengthy run on Superman: The Man of Steel.Industry giant Marc Silvestri entered the upper echelon of comics innovators in the late ’80s during fan-favorite, record-breaking runs on Uncanny X-Men and Wolverine. Silvestri left Marvel in 1992 to co-found Image Comics; his imprint, Top Cow, is one of its four longstanding autonomous studios. At Image, Silvestri created some of today’s most popular properties — including Cyberforce, Witchblade, Weapon Zero and The Darkness. Silvestri has returned to the world of Marvel’s mutants on New X-Men and X-Men: Messiah Complex.Two-time Emmy Award-winner Bret Blevins’ early Marvel work included adaptations of films such as The Dark Crystal, Krull and The Last Starfighter. Moving into the Marvel Universe, he drew Strange Tales’ Cloak and Dagger feature, and penciled much of Louise Simonson’s New Mutants run. In 1996, he moved into TV animation, storyboarding for Batman Beyond, Justice League and New Batman/Superman Adventures. He now divides time between oil painting and freelance storyboarding.Sal Velluto penciled several issues of Marc Spector: Moon Knight and most of Christopher Priest’s Black Panther run, the latter with his friend and frequent collaborator Bob Almond on inks; later, he contributed to the limited series Doctor Voodoo. At DC, he drew Firebrand and Justice League Task Force. His additional work includes Acclaim's Bloodshot, Continuity's Armor, Now's Green Hornet and Penny-Farthing's Captain Gravity. John Buscema (1927-2002) literally wrote the book on being a Marvel artist — namely, How To Draw Comics the Marvel Way — and few were better qualified. His career dated back to the Timely/Atlas era of the late ’40s and early ’50s. Soon after beginning the Marvel Age of Comics, Stan Lee recruited Buscema from the advertising field to the Marvel Bullpen. Buscema followed a long run on Avengers with the long-anticipated first Silver Surfer series. He subsequently succeeded Jack Kirby on Fantastic Four, Thor and other titles. By the time of his retirement in 1996, Buscema had penciled nearly every Marvel title — including his personal favorite, Conan the Barbarian.Keith Pollard drew simultaneous runs on three of Marvel’s longest-running titles: Amazing Spider-Man, Fantastic Four and Thor, including Roy Thomas and Mark Gruenwald’s “Eternals Saga.†During the 1990s, he singlehandedly penciled hundreds of characters for the Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe: Master Edition. After a stint on Incredible Hulk with writer Peter David, artist Todd McFarlane moved to Amazing Spider-Man, where he and writer David Michelinie introduced Venom. Achieving a devoted following with his then-experimental style of unconventional panel layouts, extreme close-ups and other innovations, McFarlane became both writer and artist on a new series, titled simply Spider-Man. He later joined several fellow industry prodigies to form Image Comics. McFarlane’s major contribution was Spawn, the demonic mercenary whose first-issue sales of 1.7 million copies remain a benchmark for an independent. His other industry credits include DC’s Infinity Inc. and “Batman: Year Two†in Detective Comics. He has earned the Inkpot Award, the National Cartoonists Society’s Award for Best Comic Book and the NFL’s Artist of the Year Award for designing the Baltimore Ravens’ program covers. In addition to the Image subsidiary Todd McFarlane Productions, he heads McFarlane Toys and Todd McFarlane Entertainment, and is producer of a Spawn film and an award-winning animated series. After a start as inker to his older brother John, Sal Buscema penciled Captain America, Defenders, Incredible Hulk and more. Famed for his ability to meet tight deadlines, he spread his talents across multiple genres. His 1970s work ranged from Ms. Marvel and Nova to Sub-Mariner and Spider-Woman’s first appearance in Marvel Spotlight. He was the uninterrupted artist on Spectacular Spider-Man for more than a hundred issues and penciled the web-slinger’s adventures in Marvel Team-Up, in which he and writer Bill Mantlo introduced Captain Jean DeWolff. After handling more team-ups in the Thing’s Marvel Two-in-One, he reunited with brother John on Steve Englehart’s Fantastic Four. He later provided inks for Tom DeFalco’s Spider-Girl titles and Thunderstrike miniseries.Alex Saviuk established himself as a major Marvel artist with a seven-year run on Web of Spider-Man. He also worked on the animated-series tie-in Spider-Man Adventures and drew the Amazing Spider-Man comic strip from scripts by Stan Lee and Larry Lieber. At DC, he penciled and inked Flash, Green Lantern, Superman and other titles. John Romita Jr. is a modern-day comic-art master, following in his legendary father’s footsteps. Timeless runs on Iron Man, Uncanny X-Men, Amazing Spider-Man and Daredevil established him as his own man artistically, and his work on Wolverine and World War Hulk is among the most explosive comic art of the 21st century. In addition to Eternals with writer Neil Gaiman, JRJR teamed with Mark Millar on the creator-owned Kick-Ass, later developed into a blockbuster feature film starring Nicolas Cage. Spidey fans rejoiced at the artist’s return to Amazing Spider-Man with the “Brand New Day†storylines “New Ways To Die†and “Character Assassination.†He later helped relaunch Avengers with writer Brian Michael Bendis and Captain America with Rick Remender, and contributed to the blockbuster crossover Avengers vs. X-Men. For DC Comics, he drew big-name characters such as Superman, Batman and the Suicide Squad before making a welcome return home to Marvel and Amazing Spider-Man.The career of British-born artist Alan Davis took off like a rocket after his humble beginnings at Marvel UK, where he impressed with an acclaimed run on Captain Britain. Davis broke into U.S. comics with runs on Batman and the Outsiders and Detective Comics. Hired by Marvel U.S. in 1986, Davis launched Excalibur with Chris Claremont, and the book quickly became one of mutantdom’s most unique and humorous titles. When Davis took over as writer, he continued many plot threads from his Captain Britain run. After a lengthy arc writing and drawing X-Men, Davis illustrated writer Brian Michael Bendis’ Avengers Prime and contributed to the status-quo-changing X-Men: Schism.Mike Vosburg’s career at Marvel started in the now-rare black-and-white magazines of the 1970s, including Deadly Hands of Kung Fu and Vampire Tales. He was the regular penciler for Savage She-Hulk, Cloak and Dagger and other series, also doing work in the Epic and New Universe lines. Vosburg is equally at home in horror and romance genres; his later work includes art for Acclaim, Caliber and Hamster Press.
