esempio: @author Stan Lee
esempio: @artist John Romita
Jr.
@cover copertinista: cerca solo articoli di questo
copertinista. Per esempio: @cover Alex
Ross
@artista, @editore, @titolo (mentre @cover rimane uguale!)
grammaticalmente simili (Man/Men ad esempio).
articoli presentanti negli ultimi 30 / 90 giorni mentre @mese a quelli
presentati nel mese in corso e @YEAR all'ultimo anno (inteso come "gli
ultimi 365 giorni).
codice a barre.

In the shadow of World War I, a thrilling new world rises—a gilded world of miraculous technology, frightening threats, and brave new heroes. Discover this award-winning alternate-history graphic novel trilogy, now collected in a single volume! The early 20th century is a time of great societal upheaval, technological advancement, and intense political struggle. Some of the most brilliant and horrible minds of the age—wealthy industrialists, amazing inventors, and violent anarchists—collide to create a war between the wars. This is the backdrop for the award-winning alternate-history saga known as The Jekyll Island Chronicles. At the turn of the century, one-sixth of the world’s wealth vacationed in and around the tiny Georgia island of Jekyll. Captains of industry like Rockefeller, Vanderbilt, Morgan, and Carnegie all called the Jekyll area home. The Jekyll Island Chronicles uses this place of grandeur and elegance as a pivotal location in the struggle to preserve the peace fostered by the end of the Great War.But an international cabal of anarchists, known internationally as Zeno and led by the infamous Luigi Galleani, seeks to disrupt the new order. Working across the globe, Zeno uses startlingly advanced technologies to seed unrest, taking lives in an effort to force the world back into another bloody conflict.Supported by the wealth of Jekyll and the most innovative minds of the early 1900s, a newly formed band of heroes—all wounded veterans of the Great War—stand against the forces of chaos. As rivals race to unlock the secret of Nikola Tesla’s death ray, cities burn, electricity crackles, and the fate of the world hangs in the balance.Blending bizarre and often forgotten historical fact with heavy doses of alternate history and adventure, The Jekyll Island Chronicles is a captivating graphic novel trilogy for young and old. As classic comic book action comes to life with retro high-tech imagination and the aesthetics of the art deco era, the series vividly captures the period following World War I, injecting real villains, historic characters, original heroes, and exotic locales into an unforgettable narrative. This massive volume collects the entire epic struggle, taking the reader all across the globe and presenting a cavalcade of historic characters, real villains, and original heroes who fight to preserve the peace—from eye-popping beginning to jaw-dropping end.Collecting The Jekyll Island Chronicles, Book 1: A Machine Age War, Book 2: A Devil’s Reach, and Book 3: A Last Call.

Industry legend Chris Claremont is best known for his epic sixteen-year run on Uncanny X-Men. Claremont’s focus on the themes of prejudice and tolerance struck at the hearts of comics fans, and he built an unparalleled following during the next three decades. Under his pen, the X-Men franchise spawned a vast array of spin-offs, many of them written by Claremont himself. His other credits include Iron Fist, Ms. Marvel, Power Man and Spider-Woman. Claremont has returned to the X-Men universe in New Exiles, GeNext, X-Men Forever, Chaos War: X-Men and Nightcrawler.Roger Stern enjoyed well-regarded runs on Amazing Spider-Man, in which he introduced Captain Marvel (Monica Rambeau) and the Hobgoblin; Avengers; and Captain America. He launched West Coast Avengers and wrote numerous tie-in miniseries starring Earth’s Mightiest Heroes. At DC, he relaunched Atom and co-created Starman (Will Payton) before participating in one of comics’ most shocking events: the 1992 “Death of Superman.” He later returned to Marvel to write Amazing Spider-Man and related titles.Industry giant Marc Silvestri entered the upper echelon of comics innovators in the late ’80s during fan-favorite, record-breaking runs on Uncanny X-Men and Wolverine. Silvestri left Marvel in 1992 to co-found Image Comics; his imprint, Top Cow, is one of its four longstanding autonomous studios. At Image, Silvestri created some of today’s most popular properties — including Cyberforce, Witchblade, Weapon Zero and The Darkness. Silvestri has returned to the world of Marvel’s mutants on New X-Men and X-Men: Messiah Complex.Jon Bogdanove began as the penciler, and eventually became the writer, of Power Pack. He also illustrated the acclaimed Fantastic Four vs. the X-Men miniseries and contributed to several other X-comics before migrating to DC in the early 1990s and beginning a lengthy run on Superman: The Man of Steel.

When Osuke loses his home, a convenient opportunity presents itself--too convenient, because his new roommate is a hot blond guy with some weird ideas about the supernatural... If you thought Ghostbusters would've been way better as a BL, this is the manga for you! With a lot of words still left unspoken between them, Nijio and Osuke find themselves investigating a spirit rumored to break up couples…at a love hotel! The only problem is this spirit only emerges when the “mood” is just right. When it seems they may have to lure the spirit out, Osuke tries hard to be professional, but Nijio might be a bit too invested in making their relationship seem real. As circumstances continue to draw the two closer together, will Nijio finally be able to confess his feelings…and will Osuke reciprocate? Fans of FANGS, The Dragon's Betrothed, and other tantalizing supernatural yaoi/BL couples--the door's open, come on in!

Who is Mister Magic? Former child stars reunite to uncover the tragedy that ended their show—and discover the secret of its enigmatic host—in this stunningly illustrated graphic novel adaptation of the thrilling national bestseller Mister Magic.Thirty years after a tragic accident shut down production of the classic children’s program Mister Magic, the five surviving cast members have done their best to move on. But just as generations of cultishly devoted fans still cling to the lessons they learned from the show, the cast have spent their lives searching for the happiness they felt while they were on it. The friendship. The feeling of belonging. And the protection of Mister Magic. But with no surviving videos or scripts, no evidence of who directed or produced the show, and no records of who—or what—the beloved host actually was, memories are all the former circle of friends has. In Val’s case, kidnapped by her father and in hiding ever since, she doesn’t even have those.A surprise encounter with Val's old castmates brings them all together for a reunion. Back to the remote desert filming compound that feels like it’s been waiting for them all this time. Back among friends they haven’t seen for years, but who somehow understand one another better than anyone has since. After all, they’re the only ones who hold the secret of that circle, the mystery of the magic man in his infinitely black cape, and, maybe, the answers to what really happened on that deadly last day. But as Val reclaims parts of her past, she wonders: Are they there by choice, or have they been lured into a trap? Because magic never forgets the taste of friendship. . . .Rendered in striking full-color art by beloved comic artists Veronica Fish and Andy Fish, this gripping graphic adaptation of Mister Magic fully immerses you in the psychological thriller that PopSugar, CrimeReads, and the Chicago Public Library named a best book of the year.

More than a decade ago, Scott McCloud tore down the wall between high and low culture with Understanding Comics, a massive comic book about comics, linking the medium to such diverse fields as media theory, movie criticism, and web design. In Reinventing Comics, McCloud took fans to the next level, charting 12 different revolutions in how comics are generated, read, and perceived today. Now, in Making Comics, this artistic genius focuses his analysis on the art form itself, exploring the creation of comics, from the broadest principles to the most minute artistic details. In a voice that mixes dry humor and clear, concise instruction, McCloud’s cartoon narrator shows how to master the human condition through word and image in a brilliantly minimalistic way. Comic book devotees as well as the most uninitiated will marvel at this journey into a once-underappreciated art form. (immagine)
