by Jeff Lemire Take a journey into Jeff Lemire's captivating world of Essex County, Ontario with the first two volumes of his award-winning Essex County trilogy. The first volume, Tales from the Farm, stars Lester, an orphaned 10-year-old who goes to live on his Uncle's farm. As their relationship grows increasingly strained, Lester befriends the town's hulking gas station owner, Jimmy Lebeuf, and the two escape into a private fantasy world of superheroes, alien invaders, and good old-fashioned pond hockey. The second volume, Ghost Stories, chronicles the lives of brothers Lou and Vince Lebeuf over the course of nearly seven decades as Lou, at the end of his life, replays his memories of guilt and regret for the decisions that tore his family apart.
