esempio: @author Stan Lee
esempio: @artist John Romita
Jr.
@cover copertinista: cerca solo articoli di questo
copertinista. Per esempio: @cover Alex
Ross
@artista, @editore, @titolo (mentre @cover rimane uguale!)
grammaticalmente simili (Man/Men ad esempio).
articoli presentanti negli ultimi 30 / 90 giorni mentre @mese a quelli
presentati nel mese in corso e @YEAR all'ultimo anno (inteso come "gli
ultimi 365 giorni).
codice a barre.
The Art of Mulan was only Jeff Kurtti's fourth published work, and one of which he remains enormously proud. He is honored to see this important and significant story in print again for new generations, along with some stunning additional visual development artwork and new foreword by Thomas Schumacher.Inspired by a two-thousand-year-old Chinese legend, Mulan was the first animated feature film to be primarily produced by Disney's animation studio at Walt Disney World in Florida. This was a dazzling array of talented and dedicated filmmakers who specialized in traditional hand-drawn animation and collaborated on the musical segment 'I Just Can't Wait to Be King' in The Lion King (1994), shorts ranging from the Roger Rabbit cartoon 'Tummy Trouble' (1989) to the legendary folktale John Henry (2000), and feature films such as Lilo & Stitch (2002). The Art of Mulan reveals the story behind the making of the film in this distinct place and at this particular time, both of which bridge the Disney animation renaissance of the 1990s and the sensibilities of today's Walt Disney Animation Studios. Like the film's heroine, the Disney artists who created Mulan made a journey of self-discovery that began with a momentous decision: to make a modern film adapted from an ancient Chinese source. The Art of Mulan chronicles their efforts to remain faithful to the spirit of the original legend and the traditions of the Chinese culture, while at the same time make it accessible for an international audience approaching the end of the second millennium. Their words reveal their passion while more than 350 stunning color and black-and-white illustrations showcase their brilliance, all clear reminders of why Mulan has become a fan-favorite of so many who grew up with it. Disney Movie Posters is a tribute to those posters, which tell the story both before and after we see the movie. From Steamboat Willie to Frozen and countless movies in between, Disney Movie Posters have been an important part of the films themselves. Oswald the Lucky Rabbit: The Search for the Lost Disney Cartoons is an in-depth look at the origins of the Disney Brothers Cartoon Studio and their first major fully animated success in 1927 with Oswald the Lucky Rabbit series. The narrative explores the historical importance of this character within The Walt Disney Company and recounts, first, the rejection of the first Oswald short, 'Poor Papa,' followed by the overwhelmingly positive reception of second short, 'Trolley Troubles,' and the ultimate loss of Disney's rights to the character and the company's modern-day journey to reclaim Disney's films. Oswald the Lucky Rabbit was created in 1927 by Walt Disney and his team through twenty-six cartoon shorts. At the end of that initial run, Walt lost the contract to Oswald, which prompted the creation of Mickey Mouse. Over the years, Oswald became a footnote in the Disney story, until 2006 when The Walt Disney Company recovered rights to Walt's twenty-six shorts. For anyone interested in Disney origins, fascinated by early cinema, or entertained by a feisty little rabbit, this engaging and accessible volume delivers an in-depth look at Walt's first major animated success and the journey to reclaim the lost Disney films. This volume features updates on newly discovered film prints and a foreword by Disney CEO, Bob Iger. (immagine) Categoria: Books: novel/sci fi/horror

With its themes of a beautiful princess, a dashing prince, and love triumphing over powerful magic, 'Sleeping Beauty' remains one of the most beloved of all fairy tales. First published in 1697, Charles Perrault's vision of the ageless, enchanted princess slumbering in her vine-encrusted tower has fascinated readers and artists for more 300 years, and this heavily-illustrated book will trace the history of that fascination, which has manifested itself in literature, fine art, poetry, music, and film. The book concludes with the development and creation of Disney's Maleficent, including interviews with Angelina Jolie and director Robert Stromberg; behind-the-scenes details and photography; costumes, props, and makeup; and plenty of movie magic! Cinderella is one the most beloved fairy tales throughout the world. Children and adults have read and watched as Cinderella endured cruel mistreatment without complaining, then met her prince before the stroke of midnight. A Wish Your Heart Makes will trace the history of the fairy tale, emphasizing its strong ties to Walt Disney and his studio. The story has been adapted to the stage many times along with musical adaptations by Rogers and Hammerstein and Stephen Sondheim. There have been scores of Cinderella films but the most celebrated is Walt Disney's, one of his most beloved fairy tales - and the film that saved his studio.
