Based on her human appearance in Equestria Girls, the Bishoujo rendition of Twilight Sparkle wears a stylish school girl inspired outfit. The Bishoujo's iconic long straight hair is recreated flowing lightly around her. Twilight Sparkle's kindness and delicacy are expertly translated into statue form, down to the tips of the fingers perched lightly on the frame of her glasses. A KOTOBUKIYA Japanese import! Kotobukiya's series of Marvel Comics ARTFX+ Statues continues with the latest mutant hero in the Marvel Now lineup that has been taking the world by storm. In 2012 the comic book company relaunched several titles, shifting some characters into different books and updating some for a modern audience. More than anything, it provided a perfect jumping on point for new readers. Now the characters are brought to life as never before based on concept artwork by superstar artist Adi Granov, who was also responsible for the preceding Avengers series. Completing the X-Men lineup and joining previously released Cyclops, Emma Frost, Magneto, Magik, Beast, and Rogue is fan favorite WOLVERINE! A nearly immortal mutant with a powerful healing factor and heightened senses, Wolverine was further enhanced by an adamantium-laced skeleton and ultra-sharp claws. Throughout his years with the X-Men (and other teams) he's worn several different costumes, and this new version is the ARTFX+ debut of his unique Marvel Now outfit consisting of a tough, combat-ready uniform. It's a full bodysuit revealing only the lower part of his face, though of course his claws protrude through it as well. Wolverine is captured in mid-lunge, stepping forward with his right leg as he jabs his left hand for a lethal strike. The stark black and yellow armor sections of his costume make a cool 'X' out of negative space, and it includes his trademark pointed cowl. Logan's face is contorted into a fierce snarl as he attacks his enemies, and he looks super cool with his eyes covered by the pure white lenses of his costume. Sculpted by the same master artist who did the Marvel Now! Avengers series, Junnosuke Abe, the diminutive Wolverine stands under 7 ½ inches tall (in the ARTFX+ 1/10th scale) with magnets in his feet to provide perfect stability on his included display base. Tim Burton's classic 1990 dark fantasy introduced the world to Edward (played magnificently by Johnny Depp), a gentle automaton with unfinished scissor hands created by a mad scientist. Now that character's iconic appendages, color scheme, and style have been interpreted by Kotobukiya based on an original illustration by Shunya Yamashita that brings Edward to life as never before. The beautiful female version stands with all the awkwardness of the film character, her feet apart and knees spread, head cocked to one side, and scissor hands held up in front of her. 'Edward' wears a fantastically detailed black gothic-style outfit with tall boots, stockings, a short dress with shredded skirt, long gloves, and a choker at her neck. The latest series of high quality 1/10th scale ARTFX+ figures celebrates iconic characters appearing in Spider-Man titles, and up next is the Marvel Now! incarnation of the bonded alien symbiote: AGENT VENOM! After being used by anti-hero Eddie Brock and the villain Mac Gargan, the Venom symbiote was captured by the U.S. government for use in a secret military program. It was assigned to none other than Eugene 'Flash'Thompson, a character who first appeared bullying Peter Parker in high school all the way back in 1962 but who more recently served with distinction in the Army. Agent Venom fought supervillains on Earth and in deep space along with the Guardians of the Galaxy, and now the symbiotic hero joins the Spider-Man lineup in an amazing ARTFX+ Statue presentation based on artwork by Stefano Caselli! Embarking on a secret mission, Agent Venom stalks his prey using stealth and military training. Flash sneaks along in a deep crouch with twin pistols held up at the ready as he pivots to check for targets. The symbiote provides excellent armor protection over a standard issue outfit, and Venom is outfitted with a sleek black bodysuit with heavy combat boots and chitinous armor plating protecting the agent's torso, lower limbs, shoulder, and collar. Flash also wears a belt carrying additional equipment and two more pistols in holsters, and his bodysuit extends over his head in a sleek black hood with white eye outlines. That bright white is also seen at strategic places on Venom's suit: rectangles on the back of the hands, outlines on the thighs, and of course spider symbols on the chest and back. Everything about the stance and equipment screams precision and deadly intent, down to the exacting details like Flash's trigger discipline. Agent Venom stands under 7 ½ inches tall (in the ARTFX+ 1/10th scale) in his crouching pose and was sculpted by the same artist responsible for the Marvel Now! Avengers, X-Men, and Spider-Man series, Junnosuke Abe (RESTORE). And as with all ARTFX+ releases magnets in his feet provide perfect stability on the included display base. Agent Venom will look great stalking his prey in your collection whether he operates alone or stands alongside other members of the ARTFX+ Spider-Man Family series!
