While the movie introduced several new Imperial troop designs used before the events of A New Hope, the most sinister and distinctive comes to you now in a pair with the DEATH TROOPER 2 PACK! Elite soldiers in the Galactic Empire, the Death Troopers wear a unique and singularly menacing version of the classic Stormtrooper armor with several important differences. In addition to added equipment and ammo the helmet features an elongated faceplate, but of course the most obvious change is instead of the bright white of the standard armor it has a diabolical jet black finish! Serving the Emperor's Military Intelligence, Death Troopers were tasked with rooting out Rebels and a contingent answered to Director Orson Krennic around the time of the theft of the Death Star plans.The ARTFX+ Death Troopers are highly detailed both in sculpt and paint, with glossy black finishes on their intricate armor. Kotobukiya's Star Wars lineup returns to the 1/7 scale ARTFX statues with none other than Darth Vader! The character was created by George Lucas and numerous actors have portrayed him. His appearances span all six Star Wars films, and he is an important character in the expanded universe of television series, video games, novels, literature and comic books. The films establish that there was originally a Jedi Knight named Anakin who fell to the dark side of the Force; he is also revealed to be the father of both Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia Organa, the two main protagonists of the original trilogy. After turning to the Dark Side of the Force, Vader is a ruthless henchman of Emperor Palpatine; he secretly intends to overthrow Palpatine to establish himself as ruler of the Empire. Vader is ultimately redeemed in Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi, when he sacrifices himself to save his son, Luke. Darth Vader is presented in his original costume as seen in STAR WARS Episode IV: A NEW HOPE. The statue recreates the scene where the fugitive mutant is running down a snowy mountain road after his escape, which is considered to a crucial point in the character's storyline. The diorama base is modeled after the harsh winter environment in the remote area of Alberta, Canada where Department K is located.
