Castelli si diletta come non mai a stuzzicare il lettore; a parte i chiari riferimenti alla cinematografia più classica (dal titolo che ricorda l’omonimo film di Haskin agli occhiali speciali ripresi da “Essi vivono” di Carpenter), sono da appassionati di enigmistica i testi crittografati con i quali parlano le due razze aliene che popolano la Luna. Infatti, lungi dall’essere delle mere accozzaglie di simboli, i testi nelle nuvolette hanno dei veri e propri significati, e l’autore ci offre anche la chiave per interpretarli. Il piacere della lettura della storia non rimane quindi un piacere isolato, ma è accompagnato anche dal gusto che dà la continua scoperta di numerosi particolari testuali e grafici.
