In addition to his work in comics, Paul Cornell is a novelist and a TV writer. He has written Doctor Who for both mediums, famously creating the character Bernice Summerfield, and has since worked extensively in British television on such diverse programs as Robin Hood, Primeval and Casualty. A diehard comics fan, her first foray in the medium produced the NYX series No Way Home. Writer Al Ewing began his career on the British anthology 2000 AD. MIKE MIGNOLA’s fascination with ghosts and monsters began at an early age; reading Dracula at age twelve introduced him to Victorian literature and folklore, from which he has never recovered. Starting in 1982 as a bad inker for Marvel Comics, he swiftly evolved into a not-so-bad artist. Mike Mignola's fascination with ghosts and monsters began at an early age; reading Dracula at age twelve introduced him to Victorian literature and folklore, from which he has never recovered. Starting in 1982 as a bad inker for Marvel Comics, he swiftly evolved into a not-so-bad artist. By the late 1980s, he had begun to develop his own unique graphic style, with mainstream projects like Cosmic Odyssey and Batman:Gotham by Gaslight.
