esempio: @author Stan Lee
esempio: @artist John Romita
Jr.
@cover copertinista: cerca solo articoli di questo
copertinista. Per esempio: @cover Alex
Ross
@artista, @editore, @titolo (mentre @cover rimane uguale!)
grammaticalmente simili (Man/Men ad esempio).
articoli presentanti negli ultimi 30 / 90 giorni mentre @mese a quelli
presentati nel mese in corso e @YEAR all'ultimo anno (inteso come "gli
ultimi 365 giorni).
codice a barre.
When the Comics Code forced EC Comics to abandon its popular horror and crime titles, EC launched a “New Direction” in hopes of attracting new readers. Among the new titles were two medical dramas, M.D. and Psychoanalysis, which were competing in a rapidly changing media landscape, increasingly dominated by television. It would be more than five years before TV caught up with EC with shows such as Dr. Kildare, Ben Casey, and The Eleventh Hour — precursors to the medical shows we know today. Artists Jack Kamen, Reed Crandall, George Evans, Graham Ingels, and Joe Orlando paired with writers Robert Bernstein, Jack Oleck, Carl Wessler, and Daniel Keyes to produce a series of taut tales of physical and psychological crises and the doctors who must make split-second life-or-death decisions. All the stories from M.D. and Psychoanalysis are collected in this volume, including: “The Fight for Life” (Ingels) — mankind’s fight against disease before modern medicine; “Shock Treatment” (Evans) — a young boy’s attempt at suicide; “The Lesson” (Crandall) — the race to save the life of a teenage girl mutilated in a high-speed crash; and “When You Know How” (Orlando) — during a blizzard, a doctor has to perform emergency surgery on a critically injured boy in his family’s kitchen using only the utensils at hand. Plus: all twelve stories from Psychoanalysis, each masterfully drawn by Jack Kamen and most written by Daniel Keyes about the struggles of three patients to reconcile their inner fears and turmoil with their outward lives. With an introduction by Dr. Travis Langley, author of the heroes-and-villains Psychology book series. (immagine)

Brimming with mystery and magic, this new stand-alone prequel to the Descendants series stars the original class of Disney’s best-loved Villain Kids. Before their Descendants rocked the world, the baddest villains made waves in the classroom. It’s the first day at Merlin Academy, and the new students have no idea what to expect. Hook hopes he’ll get closer to the legacy he was destined for. Hades is determined to impress the already-infamous Maleficent. Uliana recruits Morgie to do some hands-on spellwork so they’re not stuck at a desk all day. And Ella’s not sure where she fits in to all this magical royalty and villainy. Luckily, her new friend Bridget’s got her back. The one thing they have in common? They’re all intrigued when headmaster Merlin transforms the school’s fountain into the Sword in the Stone. A challenge is issued: pull Excalibur from the rock and a life-changing prize awaits. But when Merlin and the famed Sword in the Stone vanish, all eyes narrow in on the Villains. Typical. It doesn’t help their image when classes are constantly interrupted by wayward magic and a powerful, ancient spell book goes missing. Amidst secrets and accusations, will the students find Merlin and have a chance at that life-changing prize? Or will their time at Merlin Academy be over before it's even begun?

One of the most original and widely respected writers in comics, Glasgow-born Grant Morrison got their start with British indie comics during the late 1970s and early 1980s before working on Marvel UK features such as Zoids. After co-creating the popular strip Zenith with artist Steve Yeowell in 2000 AD, Morrison made their mark in America with DC Comics, where they revived an obscure hero to critical acclaim in his Animal Man series. In 1989, they wrote the best-selling Batman graphic novel Arkham Asylum and began a memorably surreal run as writer of the freakish heroes of DC’s Doom Patrol. Subsequent DC projects included Kid Eternity, Sebastian O, Flex Mentallo, Kill Your Boyfriend, Aztek, Invisibles, DC One Million, Flash and a hugely popular revamping of DC’s JLA. Morrison then shifted focus to Marvel Comics, where they had already made a brief pit-stop co-writing 1995’s bizarre Skrull Kill Krew with Mark Millar. In addition to their groundbreaking four-year New X-Men run, Morrison’s Marvel credits include Fantastic Four: 1234 and Marvel Boy. They have since returned to DC, where their later credits include Seaguy, WE3, Vimanarama, JLA: Classified and Seven Soldiers. While serving as a special creative consultant to DC editorial, Morrison wrote All-Star Superman, and the flagship Batman title and its spinoff Batman Inc.; co-wrote the event series 52; and served as the mastermind behind Final Crisis.Chris Bachalo spent the early years of his career collaborating with writer Neil Gaiman; his quirky style proved a perfect fit for the offbeat Sandman character Death in Death: The High Cost of Living and its sequel, Death: The Time of Your Life. His initial Marvel work on Generation X began a long association with the X-Universe across various titles that saw him become a fan-favorite artist for Marvel’s mutants. Subsequently, he created Steampunk with Joe Kelly, and made forays into the Ultimate Universe and a big splash in the “Brand New Day” era of Amazing Spider-Man. His art has also graced the pages of New Avengers and the Dark Reign: Sinister Spider-Man limited series, as well as Marvel NOW!’s Uncanny X-Men. Bachalo helped reinvigorate Marvel’s Sorcerer Supreme along with writer Jason Aaron on Doctor Strange. His subsequent work has included Deadpool and the high-octane, web-slinging action of Non-Stop Spider-Man.A veteran artist for the Distinguished Competition, Phil Jimenez has thrilled fans with his high-energy approach in Wonder Woman, Teen Titans and writer Grant Morrison’s The Invisibles. At Marvel, he teamed with Morrison for several issues of the writer’s epochal New X-Men run. After delivering the triumph of Infinite Crisis, Jimenez helped launch “Brand New Day” in the pages of Amazing Spider-Man. After amazing Spidey fans with his art, he’s set to astonish X-Men fans when he teams up with writer Warren Ellis on Astonishing X-Men.Industry giant Marc Silvestri entered the upper echelon of comics innovators in the late ’80s during fan-favorite, record-breaking runs on Uncanny X-Men and Wolverine. Silvestri left Marvel in 1992 to co-found Image Comics; his imprint, Top Cow, is one of its four longstanding autonomous studios. At Image, Silvestri created some of today’s most popular properties — including Cyberforce, Witchblade, Weapon Zero and The Darkness. Silvestri has returned to the world of Marvel’s mutants on New X-Men and X-Men: Messiah Complex.

All the great artists have one thing in common...they’re dead. A true patron of the fine arts, Mr. Cherish has dedicated his life to scouting and supporting emerging artists, launching countless unknowns from obscurity into industry superstardom. Unfortunately for these young artists, the secret to Cherish’s success is their untimely demise. Painter Matty Barnes is primed to become Cherish’s next “hit”—but when the script is flipped on this latest murder, a posthumous twist calls the artist’s fate and legacy into question putting the patron’s empire in the dueling crosshairs of law enforcement and a merciless third-party connoisseur. Writer Christian Ward (Batman: City of Madness, Event Horizon) and artist John J. Nothing makes a work of art more desirable and valuable to collectors than the passing of its creator, and Cherish has refined his ability to orchestrate spectacular tragedies without leaving a trace…before selling his dead protégés’ oeuvres for massive profits. Pearson (The Department of Truth, The Infernals) put their own life’s work on the page in a highbrow thriller at the bloody intersection of art and commerce! Both creators will contribute a full series of variant covers, alongside a special incentive cover on #1 by Eisner Award-winning artist Anand RK (Deicidium, The Beauty).
