Eiji Otsuka is a social critic and novelist. He graduated from college with a degree in anthropology, women's folklore, human sacrifice and post-war manga. In addition to his work with manga he is a critic, essayist, and author of several successful non-fiction books on Japanese popular and otaku sub-cultures. He writes the Multiple Personality Detective Psycho and The Kurosagi Corpse Delivery Service manga series. One of his first animation script works was Mahō no Rouge Lipstick, an adult lolicon OVA. Ōtsuka was the editor for the bishōjo lolicon manga series Petit Apple Pie. In the 80s, Otsuka was editor-in-chief of Manga Burikko, a leading women's manga magazine where he pioneered research on otaku sub-cultures in modern Japan. He has published a host of books and articles about the manga industry. The author lives in Tokyo, Japan.

Kenichi Sonoda is an iconic artist of the retro anime aesthetic. He was the character designer for the classic 1980s cyberpunk saga Bubblegum Crisis, and in the 1990s for Otaku no Video, the anime from legendary studio Gainax (Neon Genesis Evangelion) that popularized the term “otaku.” In 2024, Kenichi Sonoda was given the prestigious Inkpot Award at San Diego Comic-Con.Gunsmith Cats is Sonoda’s longest manga series, making its original 1991 debut in Kodansha’s Afternoon magazine, home of such stories as Vinland Saga, Blade of the Immortal, Oh My Goddess! and Wandering Island. Yoshikazu Yasuhiko is a Japanese animator and manga artist, who also has been noted as a published author and an illustrator of children's books and young adult books. His career as a character designer has spanned three decades, creating famed characters for such anime as Space Cruiser Yamato, Brace Raideen, and the widely known Mobile Suit Gundam. Considered a pivotal player in mecha and sci-fi anime, Yasuhiko's characters, stories and illustrations are unmistakable in their style and serve as timeless examples as pioneers of manga and animation in Japan.Born in 1947, Yasuhiko began his career as an animator in Osama Tezuka's Mushi Productions, and later on decided to go freelance to work for a number of animation productions for both film and television. In 1981, he took home a Seiun award for Best Artist of the Year. Praise and accolades continued for Yasuhiko, when he took home the Nippon Mangaka Kyokai (Japan Cartoonists Society) award in 1992, followed by an Excellence Prize in manga for Ōdō no Inu at the Japan Media Arts Festival in 2000. A Fine Arts graduate, Inaki spent over a decade building his career as a visual storyteller before making his writing debut with We Live, where he revealed a narrative voice unafraid to challenge conventions and explore deeply human themes.Roy Miranda is a rapper, writer, and creative director whose work is shaped by a background in music, performance, and conceptual storytelling. A founding member of the genre-blending collective Dremen and known in the Spanish hip-hop scene as Roy Mercurio (L.E. Flaco), he explored narrative through lyrics, rhythm, and stagecraft. Over the years, he has designed and directed live shows and immersive experiences that combine structure, emotion, and audience connection. That same instinct now informs his writing—bringing a strong sense of pacing, tone, and narrative depth to the worlds he helps build on the page.
