esempio: @author Stan Lee
esempio: @artist John Romita
Jr.
@cover copertinista: cerca solo articoli di questo
copertinista. Per esempio: @cover Alex
Ross
@artista, @editore, @titolo (mentre @cover rimane uguale!)
grammaticalmente simili (Man/Men ad esempio).
articoli presentanti negli ultimi 30 / 90 giorni mentre @mese a quelli
presentati nel mese in corso e @YEAR all'ultimo anno (inteso come "gli
ultimi 365 giorni).
codice a barre.

When the ferry the intellectual Humphrey van Weyden is aboard sinks off of the San Francisco Bay, he drifts in the ocean until a seal-hunting schooner, under the command of hardened sailor Wolf Larsen, rescues him. Wolf Larsen is an incredibly strong brute and a hedonist who sees no value in life but is also educated- he likes that Humphrey (or 'Hump') is someone he can have meaningful conversations with, and decides to let him stay. This rescue comes with a catch, however- the boat is not returning to port soon. If van Weyden wants to stay onboard he must become a cabin boy and do chores on the ship, while he avoids angering the murderous crew. Furthermore, if he's going to survive this trip, van Weyden must keep the crew from killing their captain, and the captain from tossing him overboard. (immagine) Categoria: Books: graphic novels

(W) Robert Louis Stevenson, David Chauvel (A) Fred Simon Robert Louis Stevenson's riveting tale has grown increasingly influential over the years; serving as the basis for such popular portrayals of piracy as one-legged sailors with parrots on their shoulders, treasure maps where an 'X' marks the spot, to the specific style we think of when imagining pirates speak. David Chauvel's faithful adaptation combined with Fred Simon's vibrant art truly captures the excitement experienced by readers both old and young alike that this classic has invoked for so many years (immagine) Categoria: Books: graphic novels

Mary Shelley's original novel, 'Frankenstein: Or the Modern Prometheus' is not only a masterwork of horror, but it's also considered to be one of the earliest science fiction stories ever. Even today, its themes of man exerting god-like powers in order to create life from death remain a passionately debated topic as modern science continues its experiments with cloning, DNA, and stem cells. Marion Mousse brings the story of Dr. Victor Frankenstein and his tragic monster to frightening new life in this all-new comics adaptation, with dark and brooding artwork that appeals to today's fans of cutting-edge graphic novels. With the greater page length the CLASSICS ILLUSTRATED DELUXE provides, so much more of the original novel is part of the adaptation, which quite possibly makes this the best comics version yet. About the Author Marion Mousse (Adapter and Illustrator) is a French comics artist and writer whose distinct style can be seen in such works as 'From Outer Space', 'Fracasse', and 'Moonfleet. Her gloomy and ominous work builds a distinct world for this new adaptation of Shelley's classic. (immagine) Categoria: Books: graphic novels

Mazan, Philip Petit, Cecile Chicault Four fascinating tales by The Brothers Grimm come alive in these bold new comics adaptations by three incredible graphic novelists. This edition of CLASSICS ILLUSTRATED features both the well-loved tales of Hansel and Gretel's trip to the Witch's Gingerbread House and the Valiant Little Tailor's thrilling encounter with Giants, as well as the lesser known tales of the Boy Who Wanted to Learn What Fear Was who stays in a haunted castle and a boy's quest to snatch the Devil's Three Golden Hairs. Over the years, many elements from the original versions of these stories have either been omitted or blandly changed. These adaptations strive to restore all of the excitement, magic, and thrills of the original classic tales, in a tasteful and thoughtful manner. 6 1/2x9, 144pp., full color trade pb.: $13.95, ISBN 978-159707-100-0 Hardcover: $17.95, ISBN 978-159707-101-7 (immagine) Categoria: Books: graphic novels

by Kenneth Grahame & Michel Plessix The first volume of the Classics Illustrated Deluxe line presents graphic novelist Michel Plessix's lush adaptation of The Wind in the Willows by Kenneth Grahame. The artwork is in aquarelle, with thin, precise, detailed lines. Plessix breathes life into Mole, Rat, and Toad (of Toad Hall) as they picnic on the riverbank, indulge in Toad's latest fad, and get lost in Wild Wood. The pacing is masterful - each panel lingers just long enough to make you appreciate the simple pleasures of life as the original novel. Available in hardcover and softcover editions.
